Now I have to go see the movie again. The book and the movie end differently and after reading the book, I will have to agree with the author and not the movie maker as to the ending. The movie maker was a bit too heavy handed. Hoffman was the perfect narrator. 5 stars. Spot on!
Then again, is this not just a long version of the propinquity effect, as described, it's said, in a short story about Doby Gillis? Aren't social networks a pale, frustrating and addictive replacement for simply being there?
