Yaoi novels are a mind trip. They're definitely yaoi, with ukes and semes and borderline to way over-the-line rape. But they're also interesting because you're let inside of the character's minds a whole lot more than with the comics, and these stock characters are fleshed out, their motives made mo...
Following the resounding success of my Locus Quest, I faced a dilemma: which reading list to follow it up with? Variety is the spice of life, so I’ve decided to diversify and pursue six different lists simultaneously. This book falls into my GIFTS AND GUILTY list.Regardless of how many books are alr...
I love this series so far but this one has to be my favorite. It picks up exactly where volume 3 left off and seeing the hurt Gemna goes through with losing Himi was hard. But then seeing Himi get hurt because Gemna wanted the old Himi back was even worse and just made me cry. It was crushing but in...
I love this series so much! And I liked this one a lot because I felt like it tested Kon and Raizou's relationship and ultimately brings them closer together. Neither one wanted to lose the other and when it came down to that possibility they pulled through. I found it sweet.
At first I was confused with this one because I thought it was supposed to be about the couple from Love Mode Vol. 1 but then I realized it was about a side character from that book and I absolutely loved it. It was very sweet and I fell in love with both characters right from the start. Can't wait ...
Waki's backstory. Shimizu's ideal audience clearly cares way more about Waki than I do. He is even worse than Shigure, and with significantly less motivation.Nice to see the origin of the kami-sama, though.Underage; would be the special hell if I cared about the pairing, but I don't.
♥ ♥ ♥ !!!Asari/Shoui backstory!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ Shoui is the eldest son of the Mitou house, performing all the main kotodama functions until his younger brother Kotonha is old enough to take over; their remote and demanding father is the head of the house. Shoui is desperate to perform well and be release...
Kotonha is old enough to become head of the Mitou household; he just doesn't want to. Because neither Waki nor Konoe nor anyone else has bothered to tell him key points about the kami/kotodama user relationship, disaster ensues. Followed, of course, by sex.Apparently Kotonha is 17 or 18 at this po...
Underage, parental figure/child demi-incest. Kami-sama Konoe raises Kotonha, a kotodama user so powerful he is not allowed to speak. This one is the biggest homage to/parody of Fruits Basket since Kon/Raizou -- Kotonha is locked in a single room, restrained, subject to mysterious and inviolable res...
The conclusion of Ryuuchei and Moriya, my favorite couple in the series so far. Well, maybe after Asami and Shoui. Also a couple of chapters of Raizou and Kon and Kotonha and Konoe, the latter of which is slightly less squicky than in scans because 801 opted for less childish language from Kotonha...
