The rest of America seems to have died under a mixture of nuclear and chemical attack that has destroyed life outside the valley. She writes the journal to...

Z for Zachariah is an interesting novel. It is a post-apocalyptic tale which focuses on two characters inhabiting this new world and leaves most discussion of what has caused it by the wayside. Of course, she's lonely so when a man suddenly appears in a safe-suit up on the hill, she is both excited and terrified. The questions is, ...

I've read dumb characters before, but holy hell she takes the cake. Ann is one dumb teenager, and I know this book was written a long time ago, but damn!
