I love a book full of alpha men that seem to have their world turned upside down by the heroine. I was a little sad when this one ended. Marc Lafayette is still following the bad guys from book 1 Shoot toThrill and is not looking for any distraction. Tara Reeves happens to distract him by way of inv...
3.5 StarsA wonderful romantic suspense series but I didn't enjoy this second book as much as I did the first. My main issue with it was that the main couple's romance, Tara Reeves & Marc Lafayette, was overshadowed by a secondary couple. The first book, Shoot to Thrill, followed just the one couple ...
Lots of fast-paced action that keeps you reading, and the romances are just as fast-paced. The two main characters are supposedly untrusting loners and yet after about 6 hours spent together searching the bayou in a kayak and despising each other, they have the most passionate sex of their lives......
Story 1:As much as recently-rehabbed STORM spec-ops member Marc resents his tame assignment of making sure efficient Louisiana state patrol officer Tara doesn't stumble into the terrorist investigation STORM is doing in the bayou he gets challenged by Tara's canny intelligence, wit, & attractiveness...
4.5 starsLots of stories going on in this one. Quinn/Darcy, Alex/Rebel/Wade, Tara/Marc, Rainie/Kick, Gina and the overall arch of finding the terrorist and the virus. Quite a rush, this one was. Highly recommend.
Started this book several times and finally got through it. Maybe I should have read the first in the series first and that would have made a difference?
This one didn't suck me in as much as the other two did. And I really didn't want to have to pull out my junior high French in order to read Marc's thoughts. The Gina story was far more compelling to me than the main two romances, as well as the play between Alex and Rebel. Of course since I read ou...
This is a really good, intense book. It should be read immediately after the first in the series, since all of the same characters reappear and the story takes up where the other left off, a few months later.
Two stars. I liked the interaction between the main characters, but they backround story line was unbelievable and not well developed. I found my self skipping parts. Also, the character development was superficial. I will likely read the sequel, just to find out what is happening.
3 1/2 stars This book is good in the way of suspense, but when it comes to staying with the main Characters Mark and Tara it did not. A few pages your reading about Mark and Tara then all the sudden when it gets good it changes to, Darcy and Bobby Lee same here a couple pages it gets good, then you ...
