So I really love zombies. And I also think unicorns are pretty cool. Therefore, I really thought I would enjoy this anthology. However, reading it was really a struggle for me. I really didn't like the first few stories. They all had the same problems which were that they were too long, very dull,...

This anthology doesn’t literally pit zombies against unicorns, but instead has half of its stories featuring zombies and the other half featuring unicorns. It’s an interesting enough premise, enough to get me to read, however, by and large, the stories left me ambivalent. Like most anthologies the...

First I should probably say that I don’t think I’ve ever read about unicorns before, so I’m not a particular fan and I went into this book with a slight caution. Team Zombie had an advantage in this that I generally really like reading zombie books, but I was curious to read some unicorn stories jus...

Initial reaction: This was a fun anthology, and I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, overall. I listened to the audiobook version which had Justine Larbalestier and Holly Black trading witty banter about which was better: zombies or unicorns. Judging from the assortment of stories here, it'...

Despite the title, there is no grand zombie versus unicorn smack down. This would have been cool. And, therefore, I am outside of the intend...

And the winner is... Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier are really funny, and this collection of short stories were really entertaining. I'm a sucker for zombies, so obvioulsy I think they're so much better than unicorns (with their funny horn and rainbows included). My Top 5:5th - The Highest...

I enjoyed this a lot (and it really shouldn't have taken my as long to read as it did, but I was distracted by Pokemon. I REGRET NOTHING!), and I am going to give my opinion of all the stories and then decide which team won (which is already obvious, pffff, I mean COME ON, so badass). The Highest Ju...

Mira Grant's Feed and Deadline are two of my favorite books from the last year, so I admit to being biased towards Team Zombie, and the zombie stories in this anthology did not disappoint. I liked the variety of styles and takes on zombies and enjoyed all of them. I read the Unicorn stories with an ...
