I have just published the first novel in a new trilogy called THE DIVINE DANTES that follows the characters of "The Divine Comedy" through a messed-up modern world. It's rock-n-roll. It's laugh-out-loud funny. It's the most unique love story you've ever read. Think "The Divine Comedy" meets "The Catcher in the Rye" on a smoky lawn at a rock concert.Book I (Squirt Guns in Hades) was a finalist in the Indie Book Awards "Best Second Novel" category. A Publisher's Weekly Reviewer calls it "[A] lively and good-natured work with a great deal of humor and wordplay . . .." While an Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Expert says, "[R]eminds me a little of the fun I find in Carl Hiaasen or Christopher Moore, but he definitely has his own vibe . . .."I am also the award winning author of "Coffee with Poe: A Novel of Edgar Allan Poe's Life," and "Mailboxes - Mansions - Memphistopheles: A Collection of Dark Tales." I edited the anthologies:Edgar Allan Poe Annotated and Illustrated Entire Stories and PoemsLeo Tolstoy's 5 Greatest Novellas AnnotatedLeo Tolstoy's 20 Greatest Short Stories AnnotatedMesaerion: The Best Science Fiction Stories 1800-1849BlooDeath: The Best Vampire Stories 1800-1849Phantasmal: The Best Ghost Stories 1800-1849Shifters: The Best Werewolf Stories 1800-18496a66le: The Best Horror Short Stories 1800-1849Most of the time, however, I am a shiny-happy guy.
