Born and raised in Paris, poet, playwright and translator, Chris Tysh is the author of several collections of poetry and plays: PornēCoat of ArmsIn the NameContinuity GirlCleavageNight Scales: A Fable for Klara KMolloy: The Flip Side Her Motor City drama, car men, a play in d, was staged at the Detroit Institute of Arts in Detroit, under the direction of Carla Harryman in 1996. Night Scales, A Fable for Klara K was staged at the Hilberry Studio Theater in 2010, under the direction of Aku Kadogo.She is a recipient of a 2003 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and a 2010 Kresge Artist Fellowship. On the faculty of the English Department at Wayne State University, she teaches creative writing and women's studies.
