During the day, David Hopkins writes for an advertising/marketing agency. In the evenings, he makes up weird stories.David has been a regular contributor to D Magazine, Smart Pop Books, and Fanboy Radio. He has also written comic books and graphic novels in a variety of genres. Dallas Observer recognized him as "Best Local Comic Book Writer," and the American Library Association honored his work in their annual "Great Graphic Novels for Teens" list. His essay for the Oral Fixation Show was featured in Huffington Post. For twelve years, he taught English and Creative Writing at Martin High School where he served as a writing coach for interscholastic competitions. He once wrestled a mountain lion.David lives in Arlington, Texas with his wife--artist and designer April Hopkins, daughter Kennedy, his dog Berkeley, and his other dog Moose.
