I've got mixed feeling about this one. I loved the heroine. The serial murderer plot kept me interested. The side characters were interesting. It was all really good. Then we have the hero. He started out as a self-important douche noodle, and I was thinking "Man this dude is such a prick" But then h...

4.25/5 creepy bald serial killer starsThis is the second book I've read by Linda Howard. She sure knows how to write romance and suspense - where both will keep you at the edge of your seat. I'm not going to write a huge review about this book, because honestly - it would ruin the mystery. I liked t...

I won't say much more because it's the best if you go into this book blind. I rated it 4 stars instead of five because I could...

I think it ended on the absolute cheesiest note ever, but otherwise it was a good story. Pretty damn intense with some of the murder scenes, too. Linda Howard always seems to deliver and though this isn't my favorite, I enjoyed it enough to remember why I like her novels so much in the first place.

Dane and MarlieDane is a typical Howard hero. I kind of dig him. Marlie, eh. Maybe a little too whiny. Or maybe it was just the voice on audio?

I think 3 is somewhat generous but since I did have fun reading it, why the hell not, although I don't think I could read another book by her without hating it so I think I am going to put her off for a while. Maybe sometime in the future.

Dane. Marlie. Oh, Dane and Marlie.Marlie is an empath. A really strong empath but for six years her powers have been gone baby gone. And you know what? Marlie's damn happy about that. She had a traumatic experience and after that her empathic abilities blanked out. She moved, started a new life, she...
