Emily Nelson was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent the majority of her years in Murfreesboro, Tennesse where she was raised before attending college in Henderson, Tennessee. There she achieved a degree specializing in English and Creative Writing. On August 9th, 2008, she married her best friend K.J. Nelson, whom she has happily been married to for five years (as of August 2013) and counting. In addition to growing up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Emily has lived in Charleston, South Carolina, Denver, Colorado, and New Concord, Kentucky. She is twenty eight years old as of February 2014 and currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee. Emily's first novel The Locket has been a wide success with the ebook audience, particularly in the Amazon.com marketplace with whom she is in contract. She also has a collection of poetry and short stories, entitled Reflections, available as well. Emily has just finished her first women's devotional book and is working on her second novel, which deals specifically with the era of the Holocaust and the societal issues that were in place during those times.
