This actually had a plot twist - that was probably pretty obvious because I guessed it and I suck at guessing plot twists - and I found myself invested in the characters. Not a favorite, but I dug this a lot more than the previous Darkness story.
This volume continues from the last one and involves Redmond saving his son from Lola by carrying out the Venice heist. I actually really, really enjoyed this. I get that there really isn't anything that original here, but it's put together in a really fun way. The characters pop, the dialog can be snappy while being something that actual people would actual say, and the heists are really fun to read. And I can't say...
