Poems of Life, Thoughts of Human Experiences is my latest book, #16, based on decades of observations, experiences, and education in human behaviors, cultures, religions, languages, and beliefs written in a unique form of what some may or may not call "poetry". From 1968 through the present, I have extensively traveled and resided for years in Asia, and throughout the United States, with occasional trips to Europe observing, learning and experiencing their different cultures, languages, religions and peoples. My travels have taken me to such places as England, Belgium, Netherlands, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines and China, to include Tibet and Taiwan.I earned a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in Asian history from the University of Maryland; additionally, master's degrees in social science and telecommunications management from University of Northern Colorado and Golden Gate University, respectively. I graduated from Department of Defense Language Institute, studying Chinese Mandarin, and a doctorate in criminology from August Vollmer University. My other books, many with co-authors, were in the technology-related genre - primarily security-based. Some were translated into Chinese, Russian and Japanese. After retirement from technology-related work, and work in general, I decided to spend my time in meditation, contemplation, more travel to Asia, and write about life and beyond, getting back to my more Asian side of life.I am working on another book about my observations of the life of we humans, but this time in a narrative form. I hope to complete it sometime this year, but then again, it took me from 1974 to 2012 to complete the Poems of Life book. So, no promises.
