I've worked for years as an advertising copywriter, but only began writing stories after watching the actor Richard Armitage in the BBC's adaptation of Mrs Gaskell's 'North & South' - this inspired me to try my hand at fan fiction. After that I was hooked on plotting and characters and keeping the reader reading. Things took off from there. My first book 'Who's Afraid of Mr Wolfe?' was shortlisted for Romantic Comedy of the Year 2012 in the UK and my second 'The First Time I Saw Your Face' was released as an ebook in June and will come out in paperback in August.I've since got a contract for a further two books...working titles 'Grace Under Pressure' and 'The Mysterious Miss Mayhew'. I write with humour but also with heart - to me, being able to find the funny side when fate is being cruel, is a form of bravery. I'm also really interested in how loving someone and being loved can redeem people from all kinds of pits they might have fallen into.To find out more about me, pop over to www.hazelosmond.co.uk

I thought this was rather mediocre, to be honest, and it wasn't helped by Jack being nothing more profound than an emotional bully and Ellie being a wimp. Deep sigh
