Lynn Estes Friess, (1940) was born in upstate New York and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. A proud mother of four and grandmother of 10, she resides in Wyoming. Author of two books, Western Lullaby which was the recipient of the 2011 gold IPPY award, and Jackson Hole's Carl Discovers Wildlife Art, she is hard at work on her third book. The "Carl" title is the first in a planned series of books about an inquisitive chipmunk. With delightful illustrations by John Potter and written in an engaging style to introduce children to wildlife, the proceeds from the Carl books will help sponsor programs, exhibits, and operating support for the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Lynn currently serves as a Trustee to the NMWA and is on the Board of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. Find out more at www.mariposaranchpress.com.
