This book is exactly what the name implies. Frank Castle takes on the various Marvel heroes, and it's usually not pretty. The stories span from the earlier (and cheesier) Marvel days to the more recent Greg Rucka run. My favorite is still the Rucka run. The artwork steals my heart. I love it. Castle...
I'm glad I pushed through the so-so story arcs, because this was a lot of fun! While Silver Surfer felt fairly true to his original character, there were some changes, explained by the fact that his origin story was slightly different, and in a way that made it impossible to write him as he was on...
It upped the ante, but I didn't like what they did with Ronan or Thanos, or the army working against them. I just didn't feel emotionally invested in this storyline at all. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't something I connected to. And I kinda missed Doom.
Avengers vs. X-Men was far from my favorite Marvel crossover. And add to that fact that I'm not crazy about crossovers. But A+X is really pretty neat: afterwards, there are short tales of team-ups between one X-Man and one Avenger. The cutest one here is Spider-Man and Beast going up agains...
Journey into Mystery Fear Itself volume two picks up where volume left us hanging. Thor is still imprisoned by Odin, who is determined to defeat his enemy, The Serpent, by destroying new Asgard (aka Earth). But Loki has a plan, and it might just work, if it doesn't get him killed. This is big bold...
I really wish this series would stop with the one-shots.The contiguous story is really grabbing me, and I'm enjoying the ride unabashedly. But when we get things like this evolutionary city (and yeah, I know there were aspects of that affecting the overall plot but come ON) it just throws an anchor ...
When Charles Xavier took down Magento and wiped his mind he did terrible damage to his own. Now his subconscious is rebelling and making things hard for the mutants. How do they fight the man who has been their substitute parent. This is a huge mishmash of several different marvel lines and the t...
More of the stories, ending the cycle, still dislike the women's portrayal, not sure the story made perfect sense without knowing the characters before, diverting but nothing I'd revisit.
Nice adaptation of part of the novel. It covers the period when Ender arrives at Battle School until he is about to get command of a group. If you have read the novel, you will probably appreciate this a bit more. Marvel does take some liberties here and there, but you do get the feel of the origina...
