I read this for one of my summer classes. We had to read and annotate 10 comics/graphic novels. Here's the annotation I wrote for that class: Miles Morales is just a normal, New York kid worried about getting into a charter school and trying to navigate his family drama. That is until he gets bitt...
Each week, Marvel gives away a free digital copy with your purchase, if you redeem the digital comics. (It's the same across the board, so if you buy everything, you only get one additional comic. Still, bonus in addition to the free digital copies, so I can't really find a reason to complain!) ...
I've been out of the loop for awhile with Marvel comics, but this looks like a pretty good start for a new Spider-Man series. Appartently there might be some hyper-meta continuity issues with Miles Morales being on this particular Earth, but I tend to glaze over when someone tries to explain comic b...
Although this is the last issue on MU right now. Miles' grandmother - his mother's mother - is called in to deal with his falling grades. She yells at him, takes his phone, grounds him, and insists he's on drugs. Meanwhile, Miles has told his father - but not his mother - that he's Spider-Man s...

If I didn't have the background on Miles Morales, though, I think I'd be pretty lost. It's an unusual fail on Marvel's part: normally I think they introduce characters pretty well to new readers, even in rebooted series. It's also a lot of fun: witty, with plenty of action to boot. Between dro...

Quite a good story here about Mysterio sending our Peter Parker into the Ultimate dimension where he encounters the Ultimate Spider-Man and the Ultimates. Brief but relatively entertaining. Well-illustrated and worth a quick visit.
