Caledonia finds a statue in Loch Tay and her salvage company brings it up. Her ex-husband turns up in town wanting her to go back to work for his salvage company. Caledonia says no but he won't give up and spies on her. Caledonia has been hearing voices connected to a poem she found as a child. Now the voices have meaning for her with the retrieval of the statue who turns human at night. Struan is uncertain what is going on. It is up to one of the spirits who Caledonia has heard to explain it to Struan. He is attracted to Caledonia as she is to him. But will they act upon the attraction? Will Struan's curse be lifted? Will they be together? Will Kip destroy what Caledonia and Struan have?
I enjoyed this story. I liked Caledonia and Struan. I also liked her parents and the O'Reilly brothers who work for Caledonia. They provide comic relief. I like the uncertainty between Caledonia and Struan of who will speak of love first. I found his brothers dropping hints for what Struan had to do funny. They would not come out and say what he and she had to do. Caledonia was oblivious to the hints
I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

One look at Candi and the life he’s built since gaining freedom comes crashing down around him.
Numbers is book fourteen in the New Species series by Laurann Dohner.
I like this series, but I was disappointed that we don’t get one full length novel. We have two stories on two different New Species in Numbers. They are quick and emotional.
140
Morn doesn’t believe taking a human female will help him heal.
This story tug’s at your heart strings. The emotional turmoil is vivid and, we as the reader, can’t help but empathize and get caught up in their sizzling chemistry. Dana meets Mourn when she visits Homeland. Both her and Mourn have lost someone in their past and so, they are hesitant about beginning a relationship. There is plenty of chemistry and emotion.
927
Hero comes face to face with his past.
This story tug’s at your heart too. What Candi and Hero went through in their past was heartbreaking. Candi doesn’t know that Hero is alive and it’s the same for Hero. She wants revenge for the male she lost and her only hope is reaching Homeland, but once she does her world is changed. There is major uproar and quite a bit of tension and emotional distress between Candi and Hero before they resolve their relationship.
Numbersis a nice edition. Though I prefer the full length novel. I still enjoyed coming back to the New Species world.

The children of the Guardians are all grown up…. What new threats await them as they find their true mates…
Ever since the end of The Guardians of the Realms series and the announcement that Ms. Jay planned to write a spin-off series which featured the children from those matings. I’ve been ecstatic and waiting eagerly.
I’ve been a fan of Ms. Jay’s from the begging when she popped on the scene with her very fist book Ecstasy Unbound and each installment then after in The Guardians of the Realms series. This spin-off carries all the wonderful things that capture me. The writing is full of passion, romance, and action. The plot is intriguing, the mythology is cool, and our couples set the sheets on fire.
This couple has a beautiful romance. Lucy and Ryker are two of the children of the Guardians and they discovered at a young age that they are mates. Too young to bond, but they still ended up having a great friendship until they where pulled apart. I felt for both Lucy and Ryker. The loneliness of their separation and then the danger that has claimed Ryker.
I completely adored return to the Guardian world, seeing old favorites, and meeting the children. I love how each character is distinct with their own unique powers and gifts. I liked that we get to see how the human world is coping with the realization that they where never alone. That Gods, powerful beings, and monsters do exist.
This spin-off can be read on it’s own and Ms. Jay gives enough background to pull you in and take you away, but personally I’d recommend reading The Guardians of the Realms series first and meeting the parents and friends. Though it’s not necessary.

Setta Jay is the author of the popular Guardians of the Realms Series. She’s garnered attention and rave reviews in the paranormal romance world for writing smart, slightly innocent heroines and intense alpha males. She loves creating stories that incorporate a strong plot with a heavy dose of heat.
An avid reader her entire life, her love of romance started at a far too early age with the bodice rippers she stole from her older sister. Along with reading, she loves animals, brunch dates, coffee that is really more French vanilla creamer, questionable reality television, English murder mysteries, and has dreams of traveling the world.
Born a California girl, she currently resides in Idaho with her incredibly supportive husband.
She loves to hear from readers so feel free to ask her questions on social media or send her an email and she will happily reply.

Kodiak Den #3 Amy Lamont Erotica Paranormal Romance - Menage January 18th 2017 eBook 141 Free
Softhearted and rebellious bear shifter Macy Black can’t stand to see any creature, man or beast, in pain. So when her big brother’s two best friends return home from deployment with battle scars that go way beyond skin deep, she makes it her mission to help them heal. But when her desire to help turns to flat out desire, she starts to question everything she thought she knew about love.
Former Special Forces soldiers Nash Dixon and Gage Stone barely made it out of their last mission alive. The only way the two werebears are able to deal with the aftermath is by sticking close together. They both fear the bond they forged in battle may be the one thing that keeps them from finding their true mates. But when their best friend’s little sister forces her way between them, they might find that's exactly where she belongs.
Warning: This story contains possessive, alpha bear shifters and a big helping of heart melting romance. Just like Nash, Gage, and Macy, the Kodiak Den stories are better together, but each one can be read as a standalone.
Bear to Love was a quick, sexy, and emotional read. It can be read as a standalone.
Gage and Nash both bear shifters survived hell. They are toured with PTSD and a need to be near each other all the time.
Macy is an animal rescuer and bear shifter. She grew up with Gage and Nash and never expected her inner bear to come roaring out when she tries to help her brother’s best friends.
I really liked the slow burn, the issues they all have to go through and how it all worked out. The author had me crying at several scenes and fanning myself at others. Even with it being an insta-attraction and recognition of mates, the three of them first develop a relationship.
I had a delightful time reading this sexy shifter book. It was interesting and the characters are great. I will be checking out more in the series.

She brought him back from death and made him live again.
Dash thought himself alone, a soldier, a fighting machine and no more.
Elizabeth made him realize he was a man.
Danger surrounds the woman his soul marked as his mate, death and blood and a treachery that goes beyond even his worst nightmares. But he will protect her and what she claims as her own. He was created to kill, trained to do it efficiently, and only a man bound to her, heart and soul, will have the strength to save Elizabeth and her prized possession.
He is a lone wolf. A man alone. No pack, no family, no one to call his own until one single, innocent letter awoke Elizabeth's wolf.
Elizabeth’s Wolf is one of my favorites in the Breeds series. It’s because it has a wounded soldier and a little girl. I feel in love with Dash the first moment he is featured and of course Cassie and her mother.
I love how the story starts, love Cassie our little girl who has a little fairy that guides her to write to this soldier who has no family, no friends, no one to write too him. It brings home the sacrifices our men and women make even toughs who don’t have someone waiting back home for them.
Dash is a wolf breed, one that’s genetics are recessed, so it makes it easy for him to hide in the world. Not all the breeds can hide, but many have found a way and a few are now coming out to the world. It’s the beginning of that coming out and the world is either accepting them or not.
Deep down Dash’s wolf even though Dash himself doesn’t understand knows that he must find and protect this little girl and her mother. Elizabeth did what any mother who loves her child would do. She protected her little girl and knows that she is at an end and needs help, but doesn’t have hope anymore. She’s been burned one to many times and has watched good people die, so she doesn’t trust. These two where great together. Their are several surprises along the way and once they find out what Cassie is things start to fall into place. It’s an emotional upheaval for all.
One of my favorite lines from Elizabeth’s Wolf is: “Let me show you have a Breed male makes a meal out of his mate.” Oh that’s dame hot!
I’ve enjoyed several of the books in the Breeds series. Some where better then others. Some can be read as standalone while others follow a story plot from one book to the next. The Breeds themselves are an interesting species and they don’t fully understand their race yet, so the finding mates and living life is a journey.
