Katherine Applegate is writing some amazing books for middle grade these days (looking at you 'Wishtree'), but my generation will always fondly remembers her as 'K.A. Applegate' (a loose pseudonym used with her husband Michael Grant). As the author of the Animorphs series Applegate injected a parano...
Such a good introduction to a great series. Applegate manages to cram a lot of information and story into this first volume. It's even aged pretty well considering it was published ~20 years ago. I did have a few questions on this reread, but I'm pretty sure they'll all be answered in future books...
I always loved these books, as a kid and even later on. They stand the test of time. Instead of reviewing one by one, which... would be enough to drive anyone nuts, I wrote a review for the entire series. Spoiler free. It's here, on Hot Stuff for Cool People.
As I have decided to start doing now, I'll gloss over everything you need to know about the book before I get into some spoiler territory, which I will mark as containing spoilers. Spoiler-Free Portion My Copy of the Book: I noted in an entry a month or two back how I got this book to be...

The plot was interesting, the characters were memorable, and the story was unpredictable that I had no idea how it was going to end or where this series was going. These kinds of books I LOVE!!!!!! The plot is pretty basic ...

Bueno, tras leer este libro me atrevo a decir que también puedo pasar horas...
Jake uses the term "I guess" a lot in his internal monologue. I don't know if that is a stylistic choice because he is a teenager or if it's the author's intention to show his insecurity as the de facto leader of the Animorphs. I'll have to keep an eye out in the future Jake books to see if this cha...
Brought to you by The Moonlight Library!I’ve been thinking about this review for a while. There’s two major difficulties: it’s often hard to write a great review of an amazing book, and how does one review a book one has read a billionty times since one was ten years old? (That was nearly twenty yea...
Finding the Animorphs series in GR...Man, this brings me back to the good old days. When kids in my school went to the library to read the newest Goosebumps installment. I remember a pile of Goosebumps books in a table and these boys were sifting through it, because Goosebumps was the thing. I remem...
