His short story "The Bridge to Lillooet" appeared in the anthology "Tomo" in early 2012. He also writes articles about travel, soccer and culture for several magazines periodically. On writing: "I didn't know I wanted to be a writer until I was almost finished university. For much of my life, I'd dreamed of playing soccer professionally in England. Unfortunately, I wasn't quite good enough. After university, however, I did end up moving to England (to be a teacher) and playing in an early round of the FA Cup! The easy thing to do would have been to give up and stop playing. I'm sure glad I didn't. And that's the same with writing, or whatever you're passionate about. Keep at it. Persevere. Hang in there."Along with his day job as an IB English teacher, Trevor continues to play soccer, jump off volcanoes on his bike and make flailing attempts to learn to write Japanese kanji. Writing happens somewhere in there, somehow.
