3,5 starsHmmmmm...So this one has a split rating for me...The couple...easily 5 stars...the magical connection, the moving magpie tattoos, and combine that with some awesome dialog between them...definite swoonworthy! I adore these two and only wish I had a gif for these tattoos...lord the visual i...

It's been only a couple months and I hardly remember the first book and the third is coming out, so of course this is the best time ever to read the second. I remembered just enough to recognise the characters as they were reintroduced and what I didn't remember I was conveniently reminded by handy ...

Is it me, or the Stephen on the cover looks super cute? I may change my thoughts and round it to 4 stars. The book is short, and even more when you are enjoying it. Like it happened in the first one (the part with the hair out of Lucien's mouth), this book also has it terrifying moments. Rats, gig...

Two questions first:Tracy, you started this in JANUARY? Why are you just finishing this now?Honestly, I started in January, LOVED IT, started angsting about finishing it and having it be DONE, having to wait for months for book 3, and so I then put it down at around 25% due to angst, and then got di...

A Case of Possession underscores all the reasons K. J. Charles is on my "auto-buy" list of authors. I fell in love with Stephen and Crane and Merrick in The Magpie Lord so I wondered if Case could maintain that intriguing Victorian setting with an extra dollop of magic and mayhem as a backdrop all t...

3 or 4? Damn, why does Otis have to be so dogmatic about not having half stars? I liked this 2nd installment of the Magpie series much better than the first. The relationship between Lucien and Stephen is establishing and for the most part, I liked their chemistry. The size difference between th...

4.5 StarsI liked this even more than the first book. Great characters, main and secondary. Fabulous writing. Engaging story. My one small complaint here is that I would have liked some of Stephen's POV. Can't wait for book 3.

How amazing was this book? I am stunned, to be perfectly honest. Not only was the writing so good, but I enjoyed this more than I ever imagined enjoying it. I liked the first one, but didn't love it. A Case of Possession is so wonderful and I thought it was very romantic at times, more romantic than...
