Slow to start, but suddenly it grabbed me by the throat and absolutely wouldn't let go again. It's been a couple of days since I finished it, and I still find myself thinking of it, and remembering the atmosphere of the book. I may have to prioritize reading the sequel higher than I had originally p...
I loved the historical and alchemy aspects of this book but it dragged on a fair amount and by the end I was not as interested in the book or storyline. I think I may not pick up the rest of the series.

The book has an interesting premise, and tbh I was actually expecting something a bit more Harry Potter rather than the Twilight that the book actually turns out to be. The plot is sl...
Absolutely loved it. It's not what I expected at all, but between the quotes from literature, the supernatural politics and the characters, I'm sold. To the next one!
