This was stupid.First all, I guess I should say that goodreads recommended this book to me, and to be honest, ALL of the goodreads recommendations have been HORRIBLE.Second, I went into this thinking I would like it because I like the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series - they make me laugh, and a...

This wasn't bad. I am actually happily surprised I liked it that much. The first person narrative is in your face and not subtle at all and either it got better or I got used to the tone in the end. I guess I like early Kinsey. She's interesting, not a Mary Sue, has flaws and gets things wrong like ...

Quick mindless pulp read that just gives you something to do. The writing is average with occasionally too much attention to detail. There is an end twist to the plot but you could see some of the finale coming from a mile away. I will probably read some more of this series as I found Kinsey like...

I really like Kinsey, she's no-nonsense, competent, and a little sarcastic. I think that this was a great debut of her private eye series. She's got a big past that we haven't really gotten a good glimpse into, but I hope more will be fothcoming. The mystery itself was good with a lot of twists, and...

I listened to this while I was on a drive to visit my mom on Friday. It was a very nice distraction and I will definitely continue with the series when I need some light entertainment.

A few years ago I went through a period of wondering whether people at tram stops ever spontaneously decide to kill themselves by jumping in front of a tram as it arrives. I mean, would a person be thinking one moment of whether to have his lunch before or after dashing to JB HiFi in his break, or w...

Well...that ended abruptly...I was getting closer and closer to the end and wondered who it was, and then it was over. Just like that. I read this for the June group read on Novel Ladies...I thought it was OK, but definitely not as good as other fictional crime/suspense/mystery novels out there. ...
