A fun little historical romance with an enjoyable plot development. Reginald is rich, from working class, and schooled as a gentleman. Annabelle is a poor earls daughter who is ruined by scandal. A betrothal is arranged and these families from different classes must interact.

Delightful audiobook! Flosnik does a wonderful job narrating this short novel. Loved the twist the story took. You could see it coming from the flashbacks, but that just added to the journey. I had a smile on my face as the last disc ended.

But...

Unabridged and read by Anne Flosnick.Reggie is hateful brat in his twenties, a veritable wastrel, who is under ultimatum from his father to marry or be cut off without a penny.Lighter than a sponge cake but surprisingly okay to work by.
