I wasn't exactly onto chapter books yet when 'The Eye of the World' was published, but before the decade was out I was able to sound my way through a chapter or two. It's comforting to see a grandiose fantasy series come to an end - even without the original author. I only had a 12 or 13 year wait, ...

A fitting end to the saga.

This was a great conclusion to the journey, yes there are some issues but considering the circumstances they are excusable.I won't go into the story except to say all the loose ends are tied off and you find out what happens to all the characters you have met on this epic journey.

I thought this was a very good ending to the Wheel of Time. The book did not wrap up everything into a nice little bow but I do not see that as being a bad thing. The chapter the Last Battle was masterfully written and showed the chaos of a large scale battle from multiple viewpoints. Some of my...

Good beginning, crappy middle, good end. 3.5? I'll round up to 4 for the mazing feat of being a WoT book with no spanking.

A fitting ending for an epic series. It's kind of strange to know that there won't be another Wheel of Time book coming out next year. Well, at least this one wraps up a lot of things nicely. A lot of people die (it *is* the last battle after all) a lot of people make it. A lot of new things are rev...

Well, it's been 20+ years, 14 books, and somewhere shy of 15,000 pages, with Brandon Sanderson stepping in to finish what Robert Jordan began. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers, but it's hard to talk about A Memory of Light without at least acknowledging a few contributions . . . and sacrifices. The ...

It was awesome! And yet, now it's over. I'm sad. I started reading this series around 8 years ago. I have nothing bad to say. I loved it.
Title and Statement of Responsibility
My epic struggle to read this series is concluded at last! Now I can rest. Longer review here: http://fadedhat.blogspot.com/2013/01/book-review-memory-of-light-2012.html

I'm still not sure how many of those stars are for sheer nostalgia - at least one? - but this was a hell of a wrap up for a 12 year journey. I started reading these books when I was 13, I am 25 now, and I can say there were times when I didn't see this ever ending. Through its ups (books 1-6), its d...
