Probably my least favorite Keplinger book but I still really enjoyed it. There's something about her writing and characters that I just can't get enough of.
3.5 stars. I'm not sure how to start. There are a lot of issues in the book. Whitley had a difficult time after her parents get divorced. No one cared what she did and with who she did it. She parted a lot , because she wanted to get her parents attention in a way , and because no one said anything...
I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this book. I rarely read contemporary and the author is just so incredibly young. I went in with all these judgments, but I really liked the premise. I found that those judgments were COMPLETELY unfounded. This book was amazing! This book was so emotional for me. I...
3.5/4 starsQuick, fun read about a girl who finally finds the family she has been longing for. Whitley is a hard character to like because she has no respect or love for herself, but as her nightmarish summer passes by, she begins to see that change must come from within herself. Neither of her feud...
A Midummer’s Nightmare is a story that actually played close to my heart. No, not the falling for my step brother part, but the divorce, and the new family, and the feeling of belonging nowhere. When my parents divorced, I did act out, albeit not to the extent of main character Whitley Johnson, b...
http://lisleslivres.blogspot.com/2012/10/review-midsummers-nightmare-by-kody.htmlJ'aime Kody Keplinger!Evertime I read something by her, I'm amazed at how young she is.I have no idea why I even picked up her first book, The DUFF, but ever since I've been loving this girl's work! On to my thoughts o...
See full review here!I received this as a gift from a fellow awesome blogger. Here's my honest review:This started out tough for me, because I do not approve of the mad partying this girl was doing. Yes, she's 18 and she just graduated from high school. My sister is currently in the same age and sit...
Really enjoyed this book! Another great summer read! Still annoyed at the way her dad acted (I have a horrible habit of not forgiving people so easily) but I loved that she ended up gaining the family she had been missing out on. Best part? Cameos by some of the DUFF crew!!! Yayyyyy!!
It pains me how amazing a writer Keplinger is at such a young age! She has this uncanny ability to tell the teenage prospective like it is. She did it with The DUFF(my fave Keplinger book) and with Shut Out. And yes, she managed to of it again with A Midsummer’s Nightmare. I waited along time to rea...
bear with me here, folks. i liked it and i didn't like it. big plus points on how much better i found both its story and the way it flowed, especially when i contrast it to the 'too-laid out, follow the crumbs toward the story's resolution feel' that DUFF and Shut Out had me feeling. in fact, even i...
