A Need So Beautiful breaks new ground with the angel concept and delivers an engaging story about love, fate and sacrifice where there are no easy answers. The main character struggles to choose the correct path and faces impossible choices. I appreciated the original approach taken with this story,...

FINAL RATING: 2.55 STARSI adored this book. It had an original concept, a fairly likable heroine, a hot, hot bad boy, and lovely, detailed writing. This review contains minor spoilers.THE HEROINE:Charlotte was not the worst heroine I've ever some across by far, but she was not my favorite, either. Fo...

I have mixed feelings about this. I liked it, I did. But the whole idea of sacrificing your life like that just severely weirded me out on some level. Perhaps that will be addressed by that crazy cliffhanger ending. We'll see. A mini-review later.

I was really looking forward to reading this book and while I think the writing is good, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The story is one of love and sacrifice (both good themes) and hints at the beginnings of a battle of good versus evil that I imagine will play out over the next few books si...

When I first picked up this book and started reading, I was a little unsure. I had seen a few reviews around Goodreads and Lisa @ Read Me Bookmark Me Love Me had told me how wonderful it was; even so, I went into this book with a little trepidation - and Suzanne Young proved my fears unfounded wit...

Parts of this book broke my heart wide open. I could feel Charlotte's love and desire to live and her fear about this Need that drives her to help people she doesn't even know. It's such a basic thing to want to be known and remembered by the people you love, and every word just went straight to the...

I hate to sound like a pessimistic reader, but I found this book to be a bit anticlimactic and characters, a little irritating. EXCEPT FOR THE VERY LAST PAGE! THAT really threw me for a mind-f*ck and I'll admit to wanting to read the sequel for that reason alone. It wasn't so much a cliff hanger...t...

I'll be honest, I could have given A Need So Beautiful just one star for all the "Oh, I love him so" moments, but that wouldn't be fair, because it has this one really great thing going for it, an out of the box concept of a non- angel (the Forgotten) with purpose. The combination of my going in bli...

A Need So Beautiful is one of the best YA books I have ever read. Asking me to explain why apparently turns my brain to mush and nothing coherent will follow. However I must try to explain my utter love for this book so that you dear reader can experience it for yourself. The plot isn't unique, it is...
