I read the book one summer vacations - borrowed it off a friend when I ran out of my own reading material. Probably the main reason why I actually read the book. Four stars only because I would have cut a couple of chapters had I been editing this, as I thought there was too much going on about actual church that bogged down the otherwise transcendent take on religion. A wonderful story and my second favorite Irving after Cider House Rules.
