I have such mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, we get to see the characters again! Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin really made A Wrinkle in Time for me so I was excited to see them again. We get to see them in different circumstances this time so we see a different side of them. Meg conti...

Strange, but interesting story. I definitely like A Wrinkle in Time better, but this book wasn't bad. It was okay.

I couldn't really get into the first book and I couldn't get into this one either. It's just not for me. The ideas behind the story are definitely interesting but, unfortunately, did not appeal to me at all. I do admire the scienc-y ideas, the sort of 'supernatural' factors, and the (sometimes) forc...

Although the plot is slightly implausible, the story is excellently written, and I can totally understand Charles Wallace's struggle to be normal when he's so smart for his age. When I was in kindergarten, I could write Commodore 64 programs and do basic multiplication, yet my classmates didn't eve...

I read L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time several years ago and again recently for school and enjoyed the book both times, but I've never felt compelled to read the rest of the series. The only reason I read this second installment was because my teacher suggested I do so for my final Children's Literature...

This is my least favorite book following A Wrinkle in Time. The characters seem further away, making it hard to connect on an emotional level, and I don't find the plot QUITE up to the plot of the other books. This isn't a bad book, and on it's own it would probably be rated much higher, but when it...

I forced myself to stay up last night to finish this book - folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, playing solitaire, all with my earbuds in. Was it because this book was so awesome, I couldn't wait to find out how it ended? Not quite. A Wind in the Door has an interesting plot - at least inte...

George Lucas totally ripped off the midi-chlorian idea from the mitochondria in this book.

As before, I like the story and our lead trio, but was frustrated by how vague so much of the story is and especially by the extremely underdeveloped relationship between Meg and Calvin.

I liked this book, but didn't love at as much as I did other books in the series. I just wasn't as interested in the Fantastic Voyage concept of this one. I preferred to be whisked off in time and space.
