I actually may have read this while I was younger, but I wasn't sure. At least I'm fairly certain I read the beginning. It is a great book, though a bit simplistic, particularly with the ending. But it was fun. I may read more of the series.

When I was in grade school our English teacher read this book aloud to the class and I will always be grateful to her for that. Even though it was written as a children's book, adults can also enjoy L'Engle's enchanting story of three kids who get swept away in a cosmic adventure. The story is Sci-F...

This is a classic children's book, one shelved in the section for the seven to thirteen set, and I'm reading it for the first time as an adult. There are some children's or young adult books I've first read as an adult I've loved without qualification--or if with some reservations, loved nevertheles...

How I managed to miss this book until now is a mystery. I read last week that is is to sci-if what Narnia is to fantasy and I obviously had to read it. I wish I had read it as a kid because I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more. However, I can see why it is a classic. My favourite part is where...

I want to add this to my pile of "Books I wish I had read as a child." If I had, I would give it 5 stars. Now I'm at more of a 3.5It's a delightful story involving an unpopular sort of girl who is having a rough time with her unconventional family (I am/was an unconventional girl, so I can't help ...

When people are talking about bad books, there's a line I've noticed that they like to toss in a lot. Sometimes it's vindictive, sometimes it's just for a laugh, but it's never complimentary to the material. That line happens to be: "It was a dark and stormy night."Guess what the first sentence of t...

I am not really a fan of sci-fi. Nor of Christian Books. And it may be a big factor that I did not read this book when I was younger, as most readers have. In fact, this book is not popular at all in my country. If it weren't for GR, I would have never known the existence of this book.More than sci-...

I liked but didn't love this adaptation. A Wrinkle in Time is one of my all time favorite books so I had unrealistic expectations for this volume. My quibbles are minor-Mrs Murray is described as beautiful but I didn't feel she was drawn that way and the last third of the book felt very rushed. B...
