Tranquilli's work is a re-creation of images from different contexts, an original and poetic universe of signs that emphasizes the state of emergency of contemporary society's cultural models. Christ is lying, crucified, with Batman's symbol blazing across his chest. And Yoda, of Star Wars fame, is dressed exactly like the Pope.
