This was AMAZING and I'm in awe of Brandon Shire. It is a tender, vulnerable telling of how two lonely people find each other - each so afraid to reveal his feelings, to be honest, to hope that the other feels the same as he. Shire's prose is so tactile - he reveals the details through subtle nuan...
Hunter is blind and Dillon is a high priced hooker. Dillon propositions Hunter one night on the street, something he never does. They both are lonely enough to go with it, and a tentative relationship forms. Not tentative because they aren't very into each other, but because they are both afraid the...

It's a good thing I bought both this book and [b:Afflicted II|16148381|Afflicted II (Afflicted, #2)|Brandon Shire|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1352841828s/16148381.jpg|21982945] at the same time. This one ends with a bit of a cliff to hang over. I've already started the second book. I ...
This review applies to both books in this mini-series, as it's quite difficult for me to separate the stories when they are so strongly intertwined. I bought this book solely because one of the heroes is blind, and I have a weak spot for blind heroes and was in the mood for a gay romance story. I ab...
I despise (yeah, more than didn't enjoy... I really despise it)*Hunter "hate" against overweight people"Yup, and I don't give a fuck. They don't want to fuck me because I'm blind, fine. I don't want fatties in my bed. I am allowed to have someone according to my own tastes, aren't I?"When I read it ...
Wow. I mean.. wow. It was my first book of Brandon Shire and I'm in love with his writing. It's not so often when the reader can contemplate so lyrical narration. The main characters was great. And I liked the plot. 4 stars.
5 star. Unputdownable m/m romance read at one sitting. Beautifully written story, the best rendering of a blind character that I have come across. Straight on to book two..Two gorgeous lonely men: 30 year old Hunter, blind from birth, is picked up by 26 year old escort Frank (real-name Dillon). They...
I enjoyed the ride these two MC's went on. I kinda thought they were drama-queens but it worked for me. Hunter was a flawed character like every other man not a perfect person with a disability. You really have to read the sequel to get the whole story. I think it really was one book chopped in two....
A good one!I liked the story, the flow, the writing. I found both MCs interesting, although I have to say that Dillon caught my interest more than Hunter.I found some of the descriptions of smells a bit OTT, I liked the noises more, but that's just taste. And the best thing is, I can go directly and ...
