I was a bit hesitant reading this books since I learned from previous reviews that the MCs only met towards the end of the story. Well, I'm sooooo glad that I finally decided to read it. It was wonderful!! Con Riley has such a way with words that I was breathing this book. I couldn't put it down; a...

Oh my, I have a weak spot for this type of romance stories. The author dedicated a lot of pages to Theo's healing process after loosing his partner Ben. I imagine for some readers it might even be too much, but personally I adored every page I read because it made Theo all the more dear to me. The c...

3.5 stars. The characters are terrific but the coincidences and Theo's obliviousness knock it down a little. I will definitely read the next one.

5 Stars despite making me wait till 70% through for the actual meet up. So much angst in this book and I wanted more at the end! This well written book is all about 41 year old Theo and his mind-numbing grief after the death of his older partner of fifteen years Italian Ben. He meets the mysterious ...

4.5 stars. There is really nothing I can say that will add to the raving reviews about this book. I was hesitant to read itfor the longest time, thinking it'll be too depressing. Well, it wasn't. Yes, the subject matter is heavy. Yes, the more I learned about Ben, the harder I wished he hadn't died a...

After Ben was a beautiful, painful, and engrossing read. More than just the story of a man who loses one lover and finds another, this is also a story about grief, acceptance, forgiveness, and regret. It's about learning from a past you can't change, and applying those lessons to a present (and fu...

3.5 StarsIt's 4:30am and I just finished. It was a beautiful story, but I need time to form my thoughts. Will add more when I wake up ;)ETA: Well, not that I got much sleep, 3.5 hours, I think I can put to words together. This book was very beautiful. There's no other way to explain it. Howeve...

The plot just didn't work for me in this one. I liked the author's writing style, so I would definitely read her again. But I had a few major issues with this one. First, I don't like when a main character dies. Ben had passed away before the story started, but the majority of the story was about ...

Certainly worth the 5 stars. I loved this book, so wonderful in writing. Every aspect seemed thought out and planned, I was very impressed. The characters were not too mean or crazy in the head, and their worries seemed very healthy yet not too unyielding.
