TRIGGER WARNING: Classism - it's the world-building's basis.I came to Pawn for the Masking, and stayed for Elsewhere. It was fine.Captive starts off...well, boring, until Kitty goes to Elsewhere. Here's where the story's flashes of brilliance occur, namely the cage and the dollhouse. The latter is p...

And yet, I didn't give it 5/5 stars. There were some reasons for this. In this review, I will discuss both positive and negative aspect...

SUMMARY Kitty has failed the mandatory test that will determine her rank for the rest of her life – she’s been branded a III. With no prospects and no hope she accepts the offer to take up a VII – a rank only given to members of the ruling family of America. She is Masked and must convincingly play ...

Honestly, going into this book I wasn't expecting much. The blurb sounded intriguing enough for me to want to pick the book up, but the story didn't reel me in like I wanted it to. In fact, the beginning basically turned me away from the book, but I kept going anyway and ended up enjoying the ending...

Amazingly, I loved The Goddess Test. It had everything in it that I usually hate but I rated it 5 stars and re-read it. However this one just didn't work for me and came across as overly sexist.(Of course the entire series is sexist but still.)
