It's been two years since Dr. Amelia Donovan took on the responsibility of spear heading the operation of eliminating the Mogang scourge on Morgavena 14 alongside Force Fallon. They were difficult but satisfying years consisting of many late nights of rigorous work for the good doctor…and many long nights with the exhilarating Force Fallon and the intoxicating scent of his Promalithon. Their first assignment has them heading to Virmigong, a planet on the brink of disaster with its native populations in a lengthy conflict stemming from issues that no outsider is privy to and that has never been resolved by the best diplomatic leaders in the universe.

Before they have even reached the contentious planet, emotions and hostilities are starting to erupt among the crew of the Maidencept. Amelia must quickly learn the native cultures and diverse personalities of her crew to keep them functioning and to prevent an all-out war from breaking out on board the ship. Will the newly assembled crew of the Maidencept be able to put their own differences aside and use their diversity to bring the planet's inhabitants to a peaceful understanding?
