So, this book. Couldn't put it down, ignored a few friends to continue it, and stayed up to finish it. And I don't understand why at all. This is not to say that it is a mystery why anyone would enjoy this book. The characters all hop off the page, the heroine is appropriately soft and hard at the sa...

Same problem as with Too Good To Be True - too much romance, too little actual plot of real development of meaningful characters.

4.6I'll be honest, the ending felt a bit rushed and the secondary characters ended up with a nicely wrapped happy ever after, which I thought was a bit cloying but I still loved this book.I loved the dialogue, the "closed-door-sex-scenes" and the general heartwarming feelings that this book invokes....

This is a delightful story that is at times a riot (the laughing out loud in public kind of humor) and at others poignantly sad. Callie makes the most of what life hands her but doesn't take a stand for herself when it comes to the men in her life. When she finally learns she's just fine as is, she ...

You can't go wrong with a love story involving a strong silent man and a bubbly, friendly woman. Super cute story, and I would definitely read it again!

The first –and only- Higgins’s book I read was Too Good to Be True, and to be honest I didn’t think it was that good. It did keep my interest, and it had some fun parts, but I didn’t see what the big deal was, so even though I did enjoy it, I didn’t feel the need to go and read Higgins’s other books...

I love the way Kristan Higgins writes a story. I found myself laughing out loud on one page then crying on the very next page. She just knows how to get your emotions stirring. I really felt for Callie. I think everyone at one time in their life, thought they had found the love of their life only to...

I devoured this book in one setting. It's a perfect holiday read...sweet and funny and poignant. Kristin Higgins is bloody hilarious and made me laugh out loud throughout this story of Callie, the bouncy Pollyanna, and Ian, her anal retentive vet. That she can also make me cry (great big ugly sobs) ...

I'm a big fan of Kristan Higgins. Out of all of her books, only one of her books didn't make me jump for joy after I finished it. Kristan Higgins wrote a gem of a romance with this book and left me with a big fat smile on my face. This book follows Callie Grey, who just turned 30 and had her 30th bir...
