I think I liked this story the best, from the Summer series. I related more to Charlie than the others. She's strong and has a lot to overcome. There was a lot of scenarios that talked about image perception, and I loved that it wasn't just one-gender sided. I appreciated that Mallery wrote it for b...

I went into this book pretty dubious. I haven't been that crazy about the series, I didn't really like the heroine from previous books, the hero sounded improbable, and I tend to get put off by the "abused heroine must be gently coaxed into liking sex" plot. To my surprise, I liked almost everythin...

This book pushed a number of buttons and not in a good way.- Horrible, selfish, bitchy mother. Check- Model gorgeous hero paired with the not so lovely heroine. Check-Dealing with the trauma (ie : rape) came off contrived and with no setbacks or qualms about intimacy (after a couple of "close encoun...

Full review published here: http://www.brazenbookworm.com/2012/08/book-review-all-summer-long-by-susan.htmlReally enjoyed this one - a refresher after the disappointing Summer Nights. There was less cutesy focus on Fool's Gold, and a lot more character development and family drama. Charlie was a f...

I have to admit I’m torn on this book. On one hand you finish the book with the typical warm fuzzy feeling that you usually have at the end of a Susan Mallery novel. It was warm, funny and a crowd pleaser for most. Charlie and Clay were for the most part likeable characters. Charlie we have seen thr...

First, I owe Ms. Mallery my apologies for jumping to conclusions. I have read all of the Fool's Gold books and I have enjoyed most of them. When Charlie was first introduced with two other women, I went, "Uh, oh, methinks the next three-book arc is a-comin'," and I was right. The second thought I ...
