I was expecting good things from this as I had chosen specifically to go back to the beginning of the James Patterson craze. I had struggled (am still struggling) to get through a later James Patterson so this was me trying to kick off a writer I had not enjoyed in past.I liked the book. A lot. It w...

An entertaining story that was long on ideas and somewhat short on characters. I read this one in a few hours and while enjoyable seemed to be lacking in plot twists. It was pretty straight forward and the bad guys were mostly identifiable as the story progressed. I will have to read a few more of h...

No wonder the literary world is polluted with so many shitty writers. They see how well this fucking hack has sold, read his work, and aspire to fucking mediocrity. James Patterson outsells Pulitzer-Prize winning authors, but his writing (I refuse to call this bullshit "prose") is barely one step ab...

Honestly for a good bit of the book I was thinking why is this so popular. Then somewhere along it just clicked and became really good. I have a thing for psychology. I enjoyed when it got into all of that. And then of course the twists toward the end were nice. I will continue with this series...

I have read 8 James Patterson books and many of them had the killers POV somewhere in the book which I am very fond of. This book did it the best thus far. I felt like I was two steps ahead of Alex Cross and I'm trying not to yell at the book "NO YOU'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG, THIS IS ACTUALLY WHAT HE IS ...

I am very enthusiastic about my Read J. Patterson's books plan! Of course, a way to start is to read the first book of the famous Alex Cross series, Along came a spider. :) One reason I wanted to start reading J.P's books is to familiarize myself of his works. It's just that simple. Let me tell you ...

That's not a diss. It's been reported that Patterson no longer writes his own stuff. It makes me sad, because Along Came a Spider was excellent. Chilling as hell, and there were a few twists that I honestly didn't see coming. Oh, and skip the movie. The movie sucks. 5 stars
