I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I started this book the morning after finishing Under Different Stars, the first book in the Kricket series. I finished it the same day! After reading The Daughter of Smoke and Bones series, I decided to...
So there is no way to do a review without spoilers for this book. Here is what you need to know. 1. You have to have read the other books. You might even want to reread just prior (I forgot a few things!)2. You will love Kricket even more by the end of the book. 3. I want everyone else in that world...
A fun little YA fantasy romance. Reminds me of Flash Gordon with its silly fantasy world that is different when the author wants to highlight the differences, otherwise similar in every conceivable way. I enjoyed Kricket, the main character - strong, stubborn, intelligent. Too bad that whole thing i...
Check out my review on my blog:http://www.thebookdisciple.com This series is amazing and if you haven't read Under Different Stars yet, what are you waiting for? Now, I have to attempt to patiently wait for Darken the Stars...
5 stars *E-arc provided by Netgalley *** Though this is an YA novel it does contain sexual situations. While not graphic it may not be suitable for younger readers *** This book starts right where book one Under Different Stars left off and I highly recommend reading it before Sea of Stars. ...

What kind of name is Kricket anyway? I'll try not to get too annoyed but she's a very annoying character and more importantly. She's a special snowflake. Having lived always on the run from social services in Chicago, Kricket does get herself chased and later kidnapped by what seems to be two diff...
Very unique, although trying to learn the 'slang' got annoying (I felt the same way when reading the Uglies series). I loved the tension and romance. It was a great balance of it all. And Kricket was a likable character.
