An Abundance of Katherines has made me recognize the loss of a "laugh-out-loud-funny" shelf. I need one. Clearly. And, granted, there are a lot of wonderful, quirky, honest, and hilarious novels out there, but John Green's definitely take the cake. An Abundance of Katherines isn't my favorite John G...
In short:Colin, the hero of this book dated only girls named Katherine, and all break up with him, freshly dumbed by number 19 in the row, he is devestated and goes on a road trip with his best friend. They find jobs in one small town and stay. Colin meets Lindsey (no Katherine!) and starts his work...
This is Green's second novel and follows child prodigy Colin Singleton as he attempts to formulate a theory which predicts the outcome of relationships, having been dumped by his 19th girlfriend-all of whom have been called Katherine. Meanwhile, his best friend Hassan pulls him on a road trip in att...
2.5 starsOk I'm gonna be absolutely honest: this is unbelievably a dull reading. I'm so sorry to be saying this but this is the dullest of all John Green's works in comparison to [b:The Fault in Our Stars|11870085|The Fault in Our Stars|John Green|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/136020642...
The morning after noted child prodigy Colin Singleton graduated from high school and got dumped for the nineteenth time by a girl named Katherine, he took a bath. Colin had always preferred baths; one of his general policies in life was never to do anything standing up that could just as easily be d...
I really love John Green. Having said that, this was not my favorite John Green. I didn't love either of the two primary male characters. I did like Lindsey, though, and recommend on the strength of Mr. Green's writing, and her. It's a road trip novel - and a road trip novel is always fun for summer.
Uniquely funny 3.5 starsJohn Green speaks to my inner nerd and possibly my outer nerd too. The way his hero Colin sees the world is fantastic but extremely nerdy (I mean that in the best way). If you have a hard time connecting with off beat characters this might be a struggle for you. Everythin...
Oh John Green, I love your books so much. Although this one wasn't my favorite, I still really, really liked it. I loved the characters, especially Hassan (he is hilarious!). The writing was great and I liked how footnotes were added in to help with my understanding, and to make me laugh. I did end ...
Fugging. Fug. Fugger. Motherfugger.Basically the number one reason I knew I would not like this book. I wanted to take a shot whenever that damn word came up so maybe I would have been so wasted it would cease to bother me.This is definitely my least favourite book by John Green. My least favourite ...
