Playing Possum - Charlaine Harris. There wasn't much to this story.Spellcaster 2.0 - Jonathan Maberry. This story is tacky and riddled with stereotypes. It also repeats the tired old fallacy that atheism is just another religion.Academy Field Trip - Donald Harstad. A vampire task force that places v...

It's not fair to do a full review of this, because I only read one story - Ilona Andrew's Magic Learns. That was really good, though, and it was nice to see Julie's POV, if only briefly.

Hit and miss. It's had a great story from Ilona Andrews and one from Nancy Holder, The others did not WOW me.

An okay anthology. The best story was Thomas Sniegoski's Remy Chandler tale. Any story that includes lots of Marlowe is tops with me! A couple of other pretty good ones and several just so-so.

Julie Olsen, Kate's ward, has always struggled to follow rules, especially when it comes to learning. Despite Kate's extensive knowledge and fighting skills, she believes it's best for ...
