I expected to have problems with the religiousness of this book but can honestly say I loved it. It does get overly religious at times but I just let it go in one ear and out the other. The good guys (Evangeline, Celestine, Gabriella and Verlaine) and even the bad (Grigori) were spectacular chara...

I cannot stress how disappointed I was by this book. I have no idea what on earth possessed me to give it two stars earlier because it barely deserves one. However, the ending is unintentionally hilarious.

This one kept losing stars as it went. The broad concept was really interesting, excerpting one of those weird bits of the bible and making it the basis for an otherworldly, fantastical story. But the characters are flat and the writing is dull -- most of the first half of the book is scenes of peop...

Trussoni pairs an excellent story-tellers voice with a unique perspective on an ancient being in Angelology. The story had all the makings of a good tale, and a depth that is sometimes hard to come by in paranormal based fiction. The character descriptions and scene setting was reminiscent of Dan B...
