Anya could really use a friend. But her new BFF isn’t kidding about the “Forever” part . . . Of all the things Anya expected to find at the bottom of an old well, a new friend was not one of them. Especially not a new friend who’s been dead for a century. Falling down a well is bad enough, but Anya’s normal life might actually be worse. She’s embarrassed by her family, self-conscious about her body, and she’s pretty much given up on fitting in at school. A new friend—even a ghost—is just what she needs. Or so she thinks. Spooky, sardonic, and secretly sincere, Anya’s Ghost is a wonderfully entertaining debut from author/artist Vera Brosgol. Anya's Ghost is a 2011 Kirkus Best Teen Books of the Year title. There's just so much h...
Anya's Ghost. This book, well, um..... *laughs nervously* It was creepy. Very creepy. It gave me the shivers. The ghost, Emily, was scary. And I think the pictures-the color scheme and the drawings themselves- really added to the eeriness. And I liked that. But here's the thing; Anya's Ghost is ...
The really, really short review: I started this book last night. I was happy to get up this morning because I knew I'd get to finish it over breakfast.I WAS HAPPY TO GET UP ON A MONDAY, PEOPLE.The still reasonably short review:I'm not feeling very eloquent today, so I thought I'd post a transcript o...
Hey guys, so this is another graphic novel I picked up with month, I don’t know why I've been picking them up recently but they are really fun, easy to get into, and easy to finish. Anyways, I enjoyed this one too. I liked the art and I liked that the color scheme stayed the same throughout the boo...
This is a really cute graphic novel. I loved that the pictures were simplistic yet very well done. Great storyline. Nothing makes high school more interesting than dealing with a ghost. This is a nice quick read, I got through it in one sitting. Would definitely recommend.
