I was supposed to read this alongside another book. But I got so immersed in this I couldn't stop. Hayat's world of a confused young Muslim in modern America, his dynamic with his family and the Muslim community at large, and how religious conflict boils over. Reminds me of Atonement by Ewan McGrego...
