"Hi, I'm the guy who reads your e-mail, and also, I love you . . . " From the award-winning author of Eleanor & Park, Fangirl, and Landline comes a hilarious and heartfelt novel about love in the workplace. Beth Fremont and Jennifer Scribner-Snyder know that somebody is monitoring their work e-mail....

This was a nice, quick read, although in some parts I found it difficult to differentiate between the characters as they talk the same way. The novel as a whole is just the right amount of light without being frivolous. I'm certifying Rainbow Rowell as an expert in writing the sweet and the cute.

My expectations weren't super high for this book -- it was Rainbow Rowell's first book, and it didn't garner nearly as much attention as her later ones. Perhaps that's why I was so pleasantly surprised.I do not give five-star reviews lightly, but I loved this book. Rowell's prose is as accessible as...
Projections of a Bibliophiles Mind
What's not to love about this book! It's been a while since I've finished a book feeling as giddy as I do right now. Attachments, unlike a lot of romantic stories or typical "chick lit", has a lot of character growth and I feel it's very easy to identify with some of the characters' own insecurities ...

I loved Fangirl and enjoyed Eleanor and Park, but this, Rowell's first novel, was not doing anything for me, so I set it aside after 55 pages. It could be that Rowell hadn't found her sea legs yet, or that because I am in the same demographic as these characters, I had less patience with them. Our pr...

Summary: Beth Fremont and Jennifer Scribner-Snyder know that somebody is monitoring their work e-mail. (Everybody in the newsroom knows. It's company policy.) But they can't quite bring themselves to take it seriously. They go on sending each other endless and endlessly hilarious e-mails, discussing...

I've been reading Ms. Rowell's books in reverse, apparently, as this is the third book I've read of hers, after Eleanor and Park and Fangirl. Each book is different, with a different tone. While the other two are arguably YA in genre, this book is adult without question. Lincoln is stilted in his li...

This is a book about love. Not the instant love/lust, like many modern romances portray, but the soul love, the one that develops slowly, organically, through doubts and back steps. Lincoln, the protagonist, is a man after my own heart. Kind, decent, and extremely intelligent, he possesses many attr...

This book was our first book back after our book club hiatus, and I was glad it was something that was really readable. I don't mind sitting through books I don't like as long as they're readable (see [book: Will Grayson, Will Grayson]), but I will say I had pretty high expectations for this book. O...

I absolutely love this story! I didn’t expect to love it so much, because honestly I didn’t feel much for Eleanor & Park, but this? Wow! So original, such creativity, but what I love the most is that Rainbow Rowell managed to turn a dull and mediocre life into the greatest story. In a way is about n...
