My thoughts on this book are going to be more scattered than normal because I haven't come to a clear conclusion about what I feel about it. I thought that the world building was intriguing. As a result of some previous conflict, the city of Kersh has become a walled city to keep its residents safe ...

Dualed was one of my most anticipated books of this year, as soon as I saw the synopsis I was in. The book itself is entertaining, to say the least. I was easily kept on my toes during this story, it's just a shame to say that if you stop and think about it for a minute, there is quite a bit of empt...

Actual rating is 3.5.Dualed was a book that I knew I had to get my hands on as soon as I saw that awesome cover and learned what it was about. A dystopian world where each person has an Alt that before their 20th birthday they are launched into assignment and tasked with killing their Alt or being ...

Elsie Chapman's debut Dualed is one of the best dystopian novels I've read since The Hunger Games and Divergent. For me, it was the action, philosophical elements, and strong female heroine of Dualed that put it in the same league as these successful predecessors. In addition to these elements, Chap...

Ready? Let's do this. Dualed was a very underwhelming read for me. It started off with several chapters of infodumping and dialogue that did nothing to hook the reader. A much less patient person could have easily put this book down and moved on to something else and I would not have faulted them fo...

While I wasn’t disappointed, it was drastically different from what I was expecting.Going in I was under the impression that it wou...

In a dystopian city which contains identical “Alts” of each underage person, it is finally West’s turn to eliminate her Alt and prove that she is the Alt worthy to live in the society.“You always said that when it was your turn, you wouldn’t run or hide. I would have thought that of anyone, with yo...

Decent, if not the most logical book I've ever read. Stalls a bit in the midsection, but concludes with a solid finale. I am kinda "ehhhh" about this novel - I will have to think on it a few days before I render a final verdict and review.
