I loved this book in the beginning. The concept is great and it kept it interesting; but, as the book went on, it was, at times, TOO much teen angst. And I figured out the 'twist' pretty early on. However, I think it was pretty realistic-teens going through what these kids were would really respond ...

I really wanted to like this book but I'm not a huge fan. It started off really slow and was difficult to finish. The writing style is inconsistent. Some of it kind of seems ripped off from Perks of being a wallflower. I couldn't really connect that well to the main character either.

I read this book a while ago, but I couldn’t quite put my thoughts into words yet. It made me sad sometimes, but mostly, I think I was bored a large part of the time. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to people like Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Amelia Earhart, Heath Ledger, an...

This started out slow for me. Actually, I think it stayed slow. The plot wasn’t very eventful, and a lot of the letters consisted more of Laurel’s memories and thoughts, than what was currently happening. Further into the story, I was okay with this.I think my favorite thing about this book is the c...

Ok, so I lied. A review tonight after all. Dear Kurt Cobain, Mrs. Buster gave us our first assignment in English today, to write a letter to a dead person. For me, this book was pointless, puerile, and pretentious with a character who is the passive, dull YA Contemporary equivalent of Bella or Luce....

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.---------Excerpt from the book:"[But] it made me think of how sometimes when you feel so much, you have to find a way to let it out.”Sky smiled. “I hope we’ll both find the words for it.”---------Well, let me tell yo...
