Jerry Norman is an average American man who has hit on hard times. After being struck by a speeding automobile, his law enforcement career ends prematurely. A year before the book’s beginning his young wife dies suddenly. One the day it starts, his dog dies. Jerry is disheartened and sliding into alcoholism when he discovers a time machine shaped like a small blue gem while digging in his yard.

Norman’s journey that takes him to the birth of Christ, an unsuccessful attempt to save Lincoln, a meeting with physicist Erwin Schrödinger, and a wildly profitable venture in fifteenth century tulips. Jerry quickly learns the limits and hazards of time travel, not the least of which is the existence of a shadowy group bent on the destruction of all time travelers and everyone they care about. With the help of a time travelling prince of Judea, he narrowly escapes the assassins, known only as the Ba Eru.

Jerry is just getting the hang of time travel, and the fine art of staying alive while the very forces of the time travelling universe seem bent on his destruction, when he becomes stranded in the near future. He forms time transcending bonds with two women, the second love of his life and a synthetic – she deplores the term “robot”-- that is destined to become Jerry’s most loyal companion. In order to find his way back to his own era, Norman must join the United States Army and fight World War III in North America. What follows are some of the most rousing images of future warfare in print today.

Ba Eru, Book One of the Ba Eru War Trilogy, is the first of three books in the series. It is a rollicking first person time travel yarn that also provokes thought as it reveals the potential impact of the religious fervor and anti-homosexuality that threaten to rend our society today. The second, Parisu, shows the average forty year old widower turned extraordinary time battle commander. He is freshly rejuvenated, now more like twenty five in appearance and one hundred fifty years old in wisdom. He turns the tables on the Ba Eru, making the hunters the hunted. In Pana, the conclusion of this most compelling character arc tale, the impacts of absolute power and Norman’s abiding obsession to end all greed and bias reach a dramatic and unexpected crescendo.
