I really enjoyed this story, though it was a bit thin, or rushed in some areas.I liked the world Derr created, and I really hope she comes back to it. It would be really nice to see how Skylar and the puppies fair in the future.
I absolutely loved this story, and would love to see it continued. Wasn't sure how I'd like snake shifters, since they're usually evil and I'm not a fan of snakes, but now my opinion's changed a bit. I highly recommend Backwoods Asylum.
A pure feel-good-read, every problem gets solved miraculously and a fast HEA, not really realistic and could have been much better if the same story had been told 3-4x slower. But I guess sometimes a happy little story like this is just what you need...
