Garcia is just watching the woman pass like their patrol is just a lazy Sunday drive.

“What’s that?”

“Alright, so, we get two girls just off the boulevard there. Two blondes. Got a call from one of the boutiques that one of these stupid little girls just tried to rip them off using a stolen credit card. Some Gucci shit these two knew they couldn’t afford. Anyway, so, me and my partner arrive on the scene, real professional, we just take the girls away.”

Garcia’s not sure where this story’s going but he humors his partner with a nod.

“We’ve got ‘em in the back of the squad car and we’re taking it real slow back to the lockup, and we’re just asking ‘em questions like you do. Where are you from, why aren’t you guys in school, that kind of thing. And they’re being real coy. So you know what one of them says?”

“No. What?”
