Kyle started out as a truly selfish, self-centered and a cruel human being. He totally deserved the curse. He had it all, and then he lost it. His loneliness is overwhelming. But I love the way he matured and started to care for people around him. And the way that physical appearances ceased to matt...

Such a great book! Honestly, the film wasn't very good. It's good for people who haven't read the book and go in blind. The book is much better. Even better on the re-read.

Review Completed by YA Fantasy Guide Staff Reviewer, BrittanyI loved this book so much I read it in a day! I love the modern twist Alex Flinn put on Beauty and the Beast. I really enjoyed how the love story developed in this book between Kyle and Lindy. It went from Kyle being the popular guy that e...

I love the idea of this book but it was poorly executed. The movie wasn't any better and I couldn't bear to finish watching.

I really loved some of the other retellings of Beauty and the Beast so when I saw a preview for this movie and then found out it was a book first I went out and found it. It was a little slow in the beginning but it stuck so well to the Beauty and the Beast story. It handled modernizing the story re...

With that said, the cheese is almost too thick in certain parts of the story. And I do thi...

Beastly is truly one of a kind novel. It is funny yet sarcastic and sad. The witty, snarky dialog, the whole curse situation, the inclusion of classic literature from Shakespeare's Sonnets to Jane Eyre to Frankenstein; it was a hell of an enjoyable read! I didn't know what to expect from the book be...

This story is about a boy named Kyle Kingsley who is by definition a spoiled brat. He has such an ugly personality that a witch named Kendra decides that his looks should match this. Kyle becomes a beast, much like the one in Beauty & The Beast. To break the curse, he needs to fall in love with a gi...

Kyle Kingsbury - he has the perfect face and he's popular too. He's father has the money and the awesome job. There's a word for this: Perfection. Then, he got cursed because of words he said and his attitude. All those words are mean ones. Unfortunate for him, he said those mean things to a witch wh...
